St. Philopateer Coptic Orthodox Church – Sunday School Service

Vision:

The service is devoted to the Coptic Orthodox Christian teaching and following Jesus Christ’s footsteps through life. Thus, the church
grows and multiplies, one body of Christ in unity and diversity.

“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members
of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one
Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether
slaves or free—and have all been made to drink [a]into one Spirit. 14 For in
fact the body is not one member but many.” (1 Corinthians 12:12-14)

 Mission:

·      Sunday school service will provide children with the nurturing grounds to fundamental Orthodox faith with our church sacraments
and traditions.

·      The service will bring children to the living Bible and how to comply with spiritual virtues through the life of His saints.

·      The Sunday school curriculum will furnish the hearts of our children and families with a strong character with high moral
values, and an open mindset to develop a thriving community, rich in faith, hope, and love.

“Till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13)

We use Children of Light curriculum
